The Kansas Department of Health and Environment on Wednesday said that the state has seen 645 new COVID-19 cases, eight new deaths and 55 new hospitalizations since Friday, April 23.
Overall, Kansas has seen 308,510 COVID-19 cases, 4,978 deaths and 10,151 hospitalizations.
Cowley County overall has seen 3,938 COVID-19 cases and 39 hospitalizations. There have been two new cases reported for the county since Monday.
In other COVID-related news from KDHE, more than 1,872,482 doses of the vaccine have been administered to Kansans. This includes 1,110,043 first doses and 762,439 second doses. This means that 38.1% of the state’s population has received at least one dose of the vaccine.
A total of 2,511,820 doses of the vaccine have been distributed across Kansas. This includes 1,936,940 doses by the State of Kansas and 574,880 doses by the Federal Pharmacy Program.
