The Kansas Department of Health and Environment on Monday said that the state has seen 493 new COVID-19 cases, two new deaths and 56 new hospitalizations since Friday, April 23.
Overall, Kansas has seen 307,865 COVID-19 cases, 4,970 deaths and 10,096 hospitalizations.
Cowley County overall has seen 3,936 COVID-19 cases and 38 hospitalizations. There have been 16 new cases reported for the county since Wednesday, April 21.
In other COVID-related news from KDHE, more than 1,843,225 doses of the vaccine have been administered to Kansans. This includes 1,101,531 first doses and 741,694 second doses. This means that 37.8% of the state’s population has received at least one dose of the vaccine.
A total of 2,410,450 doses of the vaccine have been distributed across Kansas. This includes 1,842,380 doses by the State of Kansas and 568,070 doses by the Federal Pharmacy Program.
