The Kansas Department of Health and Environment released an update on Wednesday showing that there’s been 802 new COVID-19 cases documented since Monday. Kansas has seen an overall total of 300,927 COVID-19 cases.
Kansas also saw 31 new deaths to put the death toll at 4,881 and 28 new hospitalizations to put the overall hospitalization total to 9,647. A total of 1,306,875 people in Kansas have been tested.
Only one new case was documented for Cowley County on Wednesday. The county has seen 3,884 COVID-19 cases.

KDHE is also reporting that there’s been 1,067,865 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine administered. This includes 706,293 first doses and 361,511 second doses. 1,454,080 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been distributed. The state has distributed 1,183,800 doses and the Federal Pharmacy Program has distributed 270,280 doses. Data shows that 24.2% of Kansans have been vaccinated with one dose.
