A man drowned at the Tunnel Mill Dam in Winfield, according to the police. They received a call regarding a man in the Walnut River who might be experiencing a mental health crisis. When officers arrived, they found the man in the water, shouting for help. They tried to bring him back to shore, but he swam farther away. Unfortunately, before rescue teams could reach him, he went underwater. Eventually, they located him and pulled him out of the river. He was rushed to the hospital but sadly succumbed to his injuries. The man has been identified as Sonesiri Phengsengkham, a 42-year-old resident of Winfield.
