A missing Wisconsin woman last seen in Enid, Oklahoma has been located safe in southern Kansas and her family contacted. Stephanie Rene Wallace, 23, of Spring Green, WI, was found safe in Attica, about 15 miles northwest of Anthony in Harper County, after a farmer reported a tip to the Enid Police Department.
About 8:15 a.m. Friday morning, the Kansas farmer contacted the department saying a worker had brought Wallace with him to harvest.
Sgt. Aaron Barber of the Enid Police spoke with the worker, who confirmed the woman with him was Wallace. He said Wallace was at his home in Attica, which east of Medicine Lodge.
Barber contacted the Attica Police Department, and an officer went to the worker’s home and located Wallace. Barber spoke with Wallace on the phone. She told Barber she’d left her phone and medicine in Enid and ran out of her medicine about three days ago.
Wallace told Barber she was fine and was aware of the search for her but did not think it was that big of a deal. Wallace’s mother came to the department and was able to speak with her daughter, as well.
