Police make arrest in counterfeit currency case

On 10-27-2022, the Arkansas City Police Department began receiving reports of counterfeit currency being passed in the community. Officers took four reports, 3 of which involved passing counterfeit $100 bills. Other counterfeit currency passed consisted of $20 bills. Victim locations included area businesses and vendors at the Arkalalah festival. During the investigation, a suspect was identified in passing (3) $100 bills. This
suspect, identified as Tanner Scott Mora, age 29, of Arkansas City, was arrested on 10-28-2022 in the 700 block of South Summit Street.
