Ark City police arrested a 40 year old man in connection with a fatal shooting that happened Friday night. Police responded to the shooting Friday night at Madison Avenue and the US 77 bypass. They found a vehicle there with a passenger who had been shot. 38 year old Samuel Hutton of Ark City died of his injuries at South Central Kansas Medical Center. Police arrested James Lyle Clark, on suspicion of one count of felony second-degree murder.
