Students in Cowley College’s Academic Civic Engagement through Service program will conduct a benefit Pulled Pork Dinner on Wednesday, October 14. The benefit dinner is made possible with the help of Jay Warren, the Optimist Club of Arkansas City, Central Christian Church Ladies, and Great Western Dining. The meal is carry out only at lunch and dinner. Lunch, packaged and ready to go, can be picked up in the Earle N. Wright Community Room from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Dinner carry out, packaged and ready to go, will be available from 4:30-7 p.m. and can be picked up at the North door of the Brown Center. The meal will include: pulled pork, baked beans, cole slaw, bread, and chocolate cake. Tickets cost $10 each and are being sold by students. All proceeds will go towards the next Cowley College ACES food packaging event, in which all food packaged will help local families.
