A structure fire in rural Winfield on Wednesday morning has been deemed accidental in nature, according to a news release from Winfield Fire/EMS.
Units were dispatched around 5:07 a.m. to a reported structure fire at 8876 111th Road.,
Upon arrival, there was light smoke coming from an attached garage, with flames visible through a rear window of the residence.
Initial reports indicated there was an electric vehicle on fire inside of the garage. However, this vehicle was not located within the fire area, and investigators determined it did not cause the fire.
