Kelci Feist, Southwestern College head cheer and dance coach, has announced that the teams will be doing online tryouts for the 2020-21 school year due to Covid-19. All tryouts will now be viewed by video submission. Videos need to be received by May 31.JINX Dance team, cheer team, and mascot hopefuls will need to fill out an online application. The form may be found at www.sckans.edu/dance and www.sckans.edu/cheer. Feist said while of course, they would prefer to meet with prospective team members in-person, they are making the best of this situation and finding ways to connect. The team is looking forward to gathering again in August to cheer on the Moundbuilders. The Southwestern College cheerleading team performs at all home football, volleyball, and basketball games. The team also participates in regional showcases and competitive events.
