On Tuesday, the number of positive cases of the coronavirus in Kansas reached 900 statewide, with a total of 27 virus related deaths. A 6.5% increase over the previous day, meant there were 55 new cases revealed on Tuesday and 2 additional deaths from Monday’s report. Statewide, there were 223 people hospitalized statewide. Meanwhile, Cowley County continues to have just one confirmed case out of 78 completed tests as of 5 p.m. Tuesday. In Kay County, Oklahoma, 3 more cases were confirmed making the total there now 33. Kay County also saw its second virus-related death. Statewide in Oklahoma 100 more cases were added Tuesday for a total to date of 1,472. Sixty-seven people have died statewide in Oklahoma so far.
