Unemployed In Kansas To Get More Help From Feds

The state of Kansas is getting help from the federal government in helping the unemployed. Governor Laura Kelly’s office announced yesterday that the state has received federal approval for 63-million-dollars in FEMA unemployment funds. Under the program, Kansas residents who are eligible will receive an extra 300-dollars per week in unemployment benefits and will also get retroactive payments for the week ending August 1st.
