Instead of a caucus, Democrats in Cowley County will choose their delegates for the 2020 Democratic National Convention through a ranked-choice primary to be held May 2. Polling locations are determined by the 40 state Senate districts. Therefore, the only place for voters to vote who are in District 32, which includes most of Cowley County, is in Wellington. For convenience sake, the Cowley County Democrats are encouraging people to vote by mail. The only caveat with this is that only voters who are registered as Democrats by February 28 will automatically receive a mail-in ballot. Mail-in ballots will be mailed to registered voters starting March 30. Ballots must be post-marked by April 24 in order for their vote to be counted.
