The Kansas Department of Transportation says the K & O Railroad will close its crossing on U.S. 77 between 5th and 6th streets in Winfield for repair work. The roadway will be fully closed at the railroad crossing from June 20-23, conditions permitting. During the closure, motorists can follow the official state route detour on U.S. 77, K-55 and K-15, U.S. 81 and U.S. 160, or use alternate routes that are not marked.
