The Ark City Police Department says with the nicer weather, motorcycles are out, which means it’s “look twice, save a life” season. Here’s your friendly reminder: • Motorcycles might be smaller, but they’re not invisible • Check twice before turning, changing lanes, or pulling out • Put the phone down • Give riders space The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration says in 2024, 6,228 motorcyclists were killed. Riders are about 28 times more likely to die in a crash compared to people in passenger vehicles. Many crashes happen because drivers simply don’t see the motorcycle.
