The City of Ark City says Wilson Park Pickleball Courts are officially OPEN. Yesterday marked the first day the community was able to get out and play on the brand-new courts, and judging by the early activity, they’re already getting plenty of use. The project added four new pickleball courts at Wilson Park and was completed at a total cost of $235,500 through outside funding and community support. Funding for the project included a Kansas Wildlife and Parks Land and Water Conservation Fund grant, along with support from local pickleball supporters through the Legacy Foundation. No City tax dollars were used for construction of the courts.
