Wilson Park Splash Pad Plans Put On Hold

The Ark City splash pad plans have been put on hold. Plans call for the splash pad at Wilson Park, but now it appears there won’t be a splash pad there until at least late 2021. The city’s public Information Officer, Andrew Lawson, said that a pending evaluation of Paris Park Pool is the major factor in figuring out how the plans can move forward. A Kansas City firm has been tapped to look into the entire facility, which includes the bathhouse and pool deck. The pool loses millions of gallons of water every summer due to a leak.
