WINFIELD INMATE TESTS POSITIVE

The Kansas Department of Corrections says that an inmate at the Winfield Correctional Facility… a minimum custody facility for adult males with a capacity of 554… has tested positive for COVID-19. While the inmate’s name was not revealed, the agency does say that it is a male over the age of 20. The man and his three roommates have been moved to the COVID-19 unit at Lansing Correctional Facility per department protocol. A small group of other inmates are isolating at the Winfield Correctional Facility now as a precaution, and contact tracing and additional testing is underway.
