The Winfield Police Department has put up a list of items that have come into the possession of the Winfield Police Department. The items were collected and classified as “Lost and Found” property. The list is up on the Police Department’s Facebook page. It includes power tools, women’s jewelry including wedding bands, a man’s military service ring, and U.S. currency. The potential owner will need to be able to describe the property in greater detail than what is supplied, an approximate time it was lost and where it was last seen at. A determination will be made whether this is a positive or correct identification, and the property will be returned to that owner, if deemed applicable. If, after seven days of published notification, the property remains unclaimed it may become the property of the Winfield Police Department and disposed of as deemed appropriate. If it is currency or it is sold, any proceeds will be deposited into the Winfield Police Department Blue Santa fund and used for holiday gifts for needy families.
