The Winfield Police Department’s annual Community Night Out event will play host to a showing of the movie “Hocus Pocus” at the Island Park Performance Venue on Friday, October 9th at 7:30 p.m. The event is free of charge and open to the public. Social distancing guidelines should be followed. Family appropriate costumes are encouraged, but please leave alcoholic beverages at home as they are not allowed at Community Night Out. In the event of inclement weather, the event will be held October 10th at 7:30 p.m. Updates will be posted to the Winfield Police Facebook page, and we will keep you up to date here on the radio as well. Just show up with a blanket or a folding chair and enjoy a movie under the stars. In addition to the free movie, those attending can enjoy authentic movie theater popcorn and bottled water, provided by Cowley Cinema 8 and Coca Cola. Glow bracelets will be handed out to children before the show, and take-home activity packs courtesy of the Winfield Arts and Humanities Council will be given out at the conclusion of the event (while supplies last). Those attending will be entered into a prize drawing with items donated from event organizers and area businesses.
