A pedestrian who was hit by a train in Winfield last month will survive, but that is all anyone is being told by Winfield Police. The local newspaper reports that the pedestrian was a woman, but her name is not being released. Sh was hurt back on June 29th when she was hit by the train at Amos Becker Road and U.S. 77. According to the paper, when asked if the incident was an attempted suicide or an accident, police declined to comment. They did however, say that she is not from Cowley County. No others were involved in the incident.
