A worker at the Prebyteraian Manor in Ark City has tested posoitiuve for COVID-19. A statement from the senior living community says the employee is considered essential, but does not have direct contact with residents. The employee is experiencing only mild symptoms, but has been told to isolate at home for 14 days. The employee last worked at the facility on June 10th and believes he or she contracted the virus through a social contact. The posiotive test result came back on June 17th. Now, health officials in Cowley County are doing contact tracing of the individual. Presbyterian Manor Ark City says it is following all of the CDC guidelines and recommendations. The COwley County Health Department says, so far, just over 11-hundred residents have been tested for coronavirus, with 42 of those coming back positive.
